Sorry this took so long. Political fever bit me and I've been volunteering and running around doing things to help this election run smoothly. I'm nervous about Nov 4th, but I hope it comes soon so all this can be over (and I hope it's over right afterwards). I did have time to sneak in a bit of reading that a new person I met suggested to me. It's a WiP called The Danger in Listening and it's Albus Severus / Scorpius. It's the first AS/S fic I've read and if the rest of them are as interesting as that one, I think I found my second favourite pairing.

But NoG comes first! I've been away from this fic for too long and it's killing me. A huge thank you to Rai, Kathy, Randi, Lynne, Jon, Isabel, and everyone else who helped me with this chapter. I couldn't have done it without you guys. Here's the latest chapter:

I'm in a pickle now that I've discovered that LJ can't handle posts over a certain size. Either I do large chapters in chunks like I did 43 or I break them up which means more chapters. For now I've decided to break them up into multiple chapters so the number of chapters I have written has just expanded dramatically. I know some of you are probably dancing with delight because you want this thing to never end, but I was hoping to stick to my goal of 60 chapters ><

There is the possibility of going back and cutting down some of the earlier chapters in order to have more chapters available for later on. I know I really struggled at moving the plot forward in those earlier chapters and I don't think I can cut down much on this later stuff.

Hello! Sorry I've been away for a while. I moved to a new apartment where we had no internet and then I went on vacation. After I got back from tromping around rain forests for a while, I had to catch up on all the work I missed. x.X But I'm finally finished putting things in order and I'm back to writing!

Nights of Gethsemane will be updated soon and I'll fall a bit further behind in my writing schedule. I don't want to keep you guys waiting and my betas are so helpful that I feel I no longer need to be 10 chapters ahead of where I'm posting to ensure that everything goes smoothly and I don't have continuity problems. I'm planning a complete rewrite of 50 anyway, so it would have been quite some time before I finished with 53. Now I mostly delay because my writing gets better the more I go over it again and again and again.

I think my writing has really improved since those earlier chapters. I've thought about going back and fixing them up, but then again, they are from Harry's point of view and Harry's thoughts, so maybe it's better that way because it shows him slowly evolving and people can think I deliberately wrote it that way to show how his thoughts are improving. I will go back and fix the grammatical problems and the few errors I've made.

Speaking of getting better at writing, my coworkers and bosses have noticed that I'm getting better and I've taken on more responsibility for those tasks at my work place. Before, I was just in charge of the methods section of the study we are writing for submission, but now I am going to be in charge of writing the whole thing! So thanks a lot guys for helping me with that!

It's been insanely hot and smokey here. We've had a lot of problems with the animals. I helped to try to save a group of pinky mice whose mothers had died from the heat shortly after giving birth. Unfortunately, none of them made it.
The next chapter is a big one (25 pages unedited versus this which is 17 edited) so I won't be posting it for a while. I hope this one tides you guys over.
I wrote this chapter while listening to Patty Griffin's Rain which I think really sums up where Harry is at the end of the chapter.

Work has gotten a bit easier as my coworkers have been browbeaten into properly collecting and entering data. Unfortunately, it reaches over 100F/38C out there. I prefer this type of work but I miss sitting in a nice, air conditioned office most of the time and it isn't just because I get more writing done. I hope you like this chapter. I must've rewrote it a hundred times.

I am glad to finally get this out. I have been so busy. You know how people seem competent until you have to work with them? I am finding that a select few of my co-workers are so stupid that I am wondering how they even graduated college much less obtained a position at my workplace. I swear I spend more time fixing some of my coworkers's data than entering my own.

Anyway, I assume that most of you have been busy reading the Snarry games and such so I don't feel so bad for taking so long to post this. I listened to your constructive criticism and I tried to write this chapter using the advice you gave me. Please let me know what you think of this new chapter!

I wished to the account with ads so I could have more user pics and the ability to post pictures. Is it annoying? If it is, I will switch back to regular.
I am writing in 48 (finally!!) but I am having trouble finding some information I need. Does anyone know where I can get a good guide to the British afternoon tea ceremony that a person of very high class would need to know in order to learn it properly? I can find the American stuff easily.

Notes: My friend suggested that I get the Harry Potter books on tape and listen to them while traveling this summer. I did so but didn't become hooked until the 5th book. I immediately ran out and bought the 6th and 7th books (luckily, this was a week after the 7th book was published) and read through them in one day. I was hooked on the series and loved the idea of Snape and Harry together.
On my return home, my flight was delayed and I had forgotten to charge my laptop battery so I could not do any work. I had this fantasy in my head that was dying to come out, so I searched all over the airport for a notebook and wrote this story on the flight home.
It was quite embarrassing writing it on the plane. I was sitting in first class, surrounded by all these powerful businessmen, and I was scribbling Harry Potter porn in a notepad. After I wrote it, I thought of a sequal, but never got around to writing it because I got sucked into NoG.
I've since been informed that this is a very common plot device, but I swear I read no other stories before I read this one. Any similarities are purely coincidence.

I should've known not to brag about being able to write at work. I was transferred to a new department (one I've been trying to get to for a while) and while I love, love, love my new job, I spend most of my days outside in the field and when I finally do get to a computer, I have to enter my data.

On the other hand, I've been really working with each chapter, trying to make it better. Tell me if it has a good level of details for you or where I should put more. I've come across a lot of information in the research I've been doing lately. For example, young, subordinate males are more likely to reach orgasm quickly because they often have to sneak in copulations. Older, more dominant males have to work harder at pleasing their partners so they tend not to come as quickly.

A bit ago, Ginny88 sent me the link to "If You are Prepared" which is a very good but very sad Snarry. I cried for hours. I haven't had time to really read any of the Snarry game stories yet, but I hope to be able to soon (once I write the chapter I'm working on).

Thank you all for your help with my messed up document. I ended up rewriting it. I think it ended up a lot better than my first version, so I'm actually glad that I lost it.

I love google documents! It makes working on documents from my home and work very easy because I can edit the same document from either place without having to email docs back and forth between my computers. Also leaves less of a trace on my work computer too. ^^ I know I should work while I'm at work, but I don't think anyone actually wants that except for my employer.

Yesterday, I cut work and went horseback riding in the foothills. It was very beautiful and I had a lot of fun but I couldn't get my story out of my head and I was itching to get back to write.

I wrote this porn piece for Rai who has been an amazing help to me even though I fight and argue with her (and I do mean fight!). Thanks for putting up with me, Rai!

The Bunny story was just supposed to be a short little fluffy story about 10-15 pages long; three chapters total. So I wrote a beginning, middle, end and it was about 10 pages long and fluffy and everything was good. It was finished. Done, completed.

Then I decided I didn't like the ending. Most readers didn't like the ending. I rewrote it and to explain it, I had to write more middle, and then it was longer and more complicated and more serious. It was finished then!

Most readers liked it. I liked the ending a lot more, but not the middle. It was too rushed and had the potential to be so much better. So I kept going back and writing scenes in more details, thinking of more of them, and the story keeps expanding and expanding and I don't think it will be done for Easter at this rate!

So..... I have to:
A) Cut out the seriousness and turn it back to fluff thus ending it quickly.
B) Just post it in its hurried form so that it's finished by Easter. I can go back later and fix it up and make it prettier if I so desire.
C) Forget my Easter deadline and just make it a fullblown story. I'm reluctant to do this because I do need to get back to NoG and I can't stand having two WIPs that are so drastically different going on at the same time.
D) Find a new ending point, call this "A Bunny Tale Part 1" and then write the later parts at a less hurried pace.
