Whole New Thing
Most gay movies are terrible and have one or both of the main characters die. It's rare to find a gay movie that has a decent plot, is worth seeing, and not hopelessly angst ridden in a stupid way. I present to you: Whole New Thing.

Whole New Thing is the story of a just-turned 13 year old hippie boy who falls for his 40+ gay male English teacher. I have the feeling Snarry fans will especially get a kick out of it, but really, it's a great coming-of-age story in general.

Yes, that is a boy.

Better than Chocolate wasn't angst ridden though...I love that movie. Then again...it's a lesbian one, but it's good. And then there's "Trick" which is a funny film about two guys who want to have sex, but have nowhere to have sex. And then there's "Bound" which is a thriller/mystery lesbian film.

Did you ever watch "Dark Harbor"? It's angsty, yes, and there is a death...but Alan Rickman stars in it and at the end, he kisses someone who, from the back, is a Harry look-a-like. And there's a moment between those two about mid-way through that gives a hint to how it ends. I recommend it. And yes, it's gay. ish...
